COCA-COLA, PUMPKINS, and a MOVIE

This morning (10/25), I cooked pasta. Then we went to the Clark County Heritage Museum, where we got our names for the day: J was "Salix Gooddingii," and I was "Ambrosia Dumosa."

Immediately after, we went to the Pumpkin Patch by Town Square with J's sister (Ness) and her son, Landon ("Yoshi"). He played in the big bouncy castles ("Open it!") and rode a "boat" twice. He even petted a pony, but he refused to ride it. :-) Such a cutie, he is!

After that, we went to The World of Coca-Cola to taste 16 international flavors:

1) Nestea Cool from Bulgaria - tastes like normal Nestea
2) Nestea Raspberry from Spain - straight syrup
3) Nestea Punch from France - fruit punch and tea put together
4) Delaware Punch from Honduras - grape soda without carbonation
5) Aquarian Citrus from Taiwan - lemon-lime-orange-citrus-?
6) Vegitabeta from Japan - carrot and orange Hi-C together, like Vitamin Water
7) Bibo Kiwi Mango from South Africa - kiwi and mango (duh!), really sweet
8) Hi-C Orange from USA - think McDonald's
9) Lift Apple from Mexico - really carbonated apple juice... mmm!
10) Fanta Kolita from Costa Rica - tastes like Red Vines
11) Krest Gingerale from Mozambique - more carbonated than regular, not as sweet
12) Smart Watermelon from China - watermelon Jolly Rancher
13) Kinley Lemon from England - Sprite with lemon juice in it
14) Smart Apple from China - sour apple Jolly Rancher
15) Beverly from Italy - BITTER!!! Ugh!
16) Mezzo Mix from Germany - tastes like Coke with iced tea (or watered-down Coke, I think)

Our Favorites (top three in order):

JUICE: J - #6, #5, #3; Jewel - #7, #4, #5
SODA: J - #16, #14, #9; Jewel - #9, #11, #13

Later, we did some Mad-Libs for fun... "buttcrack black"... "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter yellow"... "Happiness is in your teeth"... lol

The following day (10/26), we went to True Island BBQ, watched gymnastics and magic secrets revealed, then went to the movies to watch "Quarantine" (at the Colonnade). I give it a rating of 2 out of 5. The beginning was slow and annoying, but once the movie picked up, I was able to tune out the moving video camera. Everyone was making the most ridiculous decisions!

BY THE WAY, WE HAVE DECIDED TO WATCH ONE MOVIE A MONTH FOR A WHOLE YEAR, ALTERNATING WHO GETS TO CHOOSE THE MOVIE. THE BEST NIGHT FOR US TO GO IS TUESDAY, SO WE CAN GET FREE POPCORN. :-) STAY TUNED FOR OUR REVIEW ON THE NEXT MOVIE, WHICH IS MY CHOICE - MADAGASCAR : ESCAPE 2 AFRICA
